Phyllis has broad domestic and international legal experience as Vice President and General Counsel of J.M. Huber Corporation, and in three major GE business groups: GE Power Systems, GE Capital and GE Plastics. She has experience in transactional, commercial, regulatory, management-administrative and training. She hired, trained, organized and led legal and support staffs in increasingly larger businesses in both companies. She was a member of the Huber Management Council, which developed corporate strategy and set broad policy for the company.
All of her assignments have provided a variety of challenges. In all cases her approach has been the same: to partner with the business people in achieving the company’s goals, and determine the initiatives the legal operation must take in order to provide optimal legal services to meet the specific needs of each business. Phyllis established a climate of trust, cooperation and teamwork; managers and executives came to view the legal department as a valued partner in achieving business goals.
